Hot Cheese Fondue

Serves 6-8


Ingredients -

1 ½ cups grated cheddar cheese

½ cup milk

½ tsp white pepper powder

½ tsp mustard powder

½ tsp dried oregano

½ tsp dried thyme

Method -

1. Heat the cheese and milk or together in a double boiler or heat-proof bowl placed on a par simmering water. Stir continuously a rubber spatula for about 7-8 min till the cheese melts and the mon smooth.


2. Season with salt, pepper, dried and mustard.


3. To serve, if the cheese sauce thickens, reheat the cheese sauce double boiler again.


4. Serve immediately with crudites raw vegetables), wafers or bread in a lighted fondue pot with forks or wooden skewers.


Let's remember this -

  • This dip tastes best when hot as the cheese solidifies when cold. To reheat, micro on low power (300-400) for 20-30 seconds Keep a watch, it boils over very fast.

  • Use any veggies like spinach, broccoli to make it healthier
